Privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Controller

GlobalLine Logistics Limited trading as Drivri is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC199647. Data protection queries go to info@drivri.co.uk.

2. What we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, company details and billing address.

Booking data: pickup and delivery addresses, times, vehicle and cargo details, tracking history.

Driver-licence verification data (self-drive hire only): licence number, DVLA check code, date of birth, address, licence categories, penalty points, declared convictions and notifiable medical conditions, plus photos of your licence, a selfie and proof of address.

Insurance data (driver hire only): insurer, policy number, cover type, expiry and a copy of your certificate.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and strictly necessary cookies.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

Performance of a contract: to take, plan, fulfil and invoice your bookings.

Legal obligation: to confirm entitlement to drive, keep hire records, and meet tax and insurance requirements.

Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, vehicle and driver safety, service improvement and security.

Consent: marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.

Declared health information is special category data, processed only with your explicit consent to assess entitlement to drive.

4. Who we share it with

Our drivers and dispatch team on a need-to-know basis; delivery, parking and warehousing partners who fulfil your booking; our payment processor; our email provider; our cloud hosting and database provider; and insurers, the DVLA, police or other authorities where legally required.

We never sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Data is hosted in the UK or EEA where possible. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Account and booking records: 6 years after your last booking, for tax and liability purposes.

Licence verification records and documents: 90 days after the approval expires, unless an incident or claim requires longer.

Insurance certificates: for the duration of the policy plus 12 months.

One-time sign-in codes: deleted shortly after use or expiry.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us and we will respond within one calendar month.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit. Verification documents are stored in a private bucket that only you and our compliance team can access, using time-limited links. Access is role-restricted and logged.
